Introduction

After your literature review you should have a short (0.5 page max) introduction section. In the introduction section, you should feature the following:

· An explanation of why you wanted to research this topic

· The question you are trying to answer

· The gap that you noticed in the research and how you intend to fill that gap; in other words, briefly state what you learned in researching past studies/articles (and writing the literature review) and how you plan to take the body of research a step further

· An explanation of why this research is important

· A clearly stated thesis of what you hope to accomplish in your research
