World I Want – Inclusion
1 page (picture not include in a page)
How to defining what an inclusive world looks like.
“Inclusion” can refer to universal design – that is, how physically accessible a space is – or it can refer to social and cultural inclusion. This week, you will look at the world around you and determine how inclusive you think it is.
Before sharing, observe your own surroundings. Take a photo of something in your community that you think represents “inclusion” in your local area. (use a picture from online first, I will take picture by myself, don’t use a inclusion that’s too hard for me to take picture from, Thanks!!) Your photo could feature an example of something you consider inclusive, or it could feature an example of a barrier to inclusion.
Use Photovoice principles to guide you as you decide on what photo to take.
Whether your example of inclusion is positive or negative (Write positive inclusion), share your photo in your initial post and answer:
1. What does this photo say about inclusion?
2. How inclusive do you believe this space is?
3. Who can access this space easily, and who will encounter more barriers to access?
4. How does this design impact the members of the community?
Your answer must answer those 4 quesitons.
