This library will be the only one of its kind in the entire 47 states to have tutors and coaches will be present all-round the working hours, during weekends and holidays to help the community students in enhancing their reading and learning skills. The Mega library will be free to the Orchard state students and will help to promote the community’s culture rooted in education. This is because they depend on the young generation to run their future society but when they are educated only. |

Date of founding The XTY educational organization 25th march 2017 was incorporated on 24th May, 2017. |
Successfully rented an office floor where all the organizational activities would be coordinated. During its formation we anointed DUE Robinson to take the logistics and supply mantle. |
The XTY educational organization was founded based on a reported alarm in rise in children with reading and learning problems in Orchard state. The organization was thus formed by a group of learned members of the Orchard community with the aim of improving reading and learning skills in all Orchard Middle Level schools. |

Mission The XTY organization exists to eradicate reading and learning problems among Middle Level school goers in Orchard state. Our focus is providing the 20 schools in Orchard state with reading, learning and co-curricular materials, and resources that will directly enhance the reading skills in the 20 schools. Our goal is to create an accommodative, comfortable, free learning environment for the orchard students and their teachers that will enhance their experience in learning and reading. |
In the first ear the program had little human and capital resources that only enabled it to reach to one school that was highly affected with a report indicating 150 students in middle class level did not know how to read and write. |
All the board members, interns, volunteers, educated, skilled and unskilled communities members joined hands in the supply of materials, distribution and other informal activity that did not require paperwork since the organization was still small with little capital to utilize. |

Target population The XTY organization takes care of all the Middle level school goers in Orchard state age bracket of 11 years to 14 years. The organization also targets all teachers in the 20 Middle school level. The students get reading and learning assistance through couching and training, co-curricular competitions, supply of reading resources like books, novels, and tutorials. Teachers receive a regular training on the latest models and techniques to ally in teaching their students how to read, write, and learn. |
The XTY organization, in their first year of operation eradicated reading problems among the 150 students reported to have reading skill problems in Orchard Major Middle level school that is the largest school in Orchard areas. |
David Hume, the organization’s members and the school fraternity played an important role in accepting the students who were affected, David Hume sponsored the program in its first phase and the school fraternity gave the necessary resources (teachers, books, and classrooms) for the sessions. |

Programs Academic tutoring, supply of academic reading books, organization of the co-curricular activities like spelling, and spoken word competitions are the most important services XTY provides in Orchard to promote and improve the reading, learning and writing skills among the Middle school level goers. The organization promotes a conducive learning environment for the students and teachers. The educational services are also organized during holidays and weekends to monitor the reading progress of students with co-curricular activities improving the communication, confidence, and self-esteem of the students.

Education Philanthropist and Professor of Psychology David Hume was honored in Orchard New Times as the most influential philanthropist in Orchard by guiding the organization, teachers and students in the first organization’s project in Orchard Major Middle Level school. He also donated $800,025 towards the organization’s first project of improving reading and learning skills in Orchard Major Middle school. . |
The XTY receives tutoring aid from volunteering professionals from active, learning and practicing educators within and out of the Orchard state. The tutors hold a degree (Bachelors) in Middle and elementary education, certified by the state in Orchard and have exclusively educated beyond the boundaries of Orchard State. The tutors not only train and couch the students but also update the teachers through the organization’s education seminars on the latest methods used to improve classroom learning and reading skills among the students.

Partnerships The XTY collaborated with David Hume, our fist funder, the State government and the local community authority. The state provided the organization all the legal protection and validation to perform their activities under the supervision and assistance of the department of education. The local community helped is delivery, supply, and mobilization of the students, cleaning of schools and supporting their children during the organization’s reading, competition. David Hume on the other hand was he first sole founder of the organization’s first programs in 2017 immediately after its formation. |
Twice a month, the community helps in arranging for the co-curricular competition, and help in encouraging and supporting students the spelling, spoken word and reading competitions. The community also donates other material like chalks, markers and cleans the schools where the competition would take place |

How unique The XTY organization is the first organization of its kind in Orchard to help Middle level school kids in improving their reading and learning skills. The organization also offers free services to the schools by supplying learning materials, building school libraries and help in promoting the community culture of valuing education of their young generation. Another Unique aspect of the organization is it will continue to operate even after the completion of its plans and will be handed over to the States department of education to ensure its financial, structural managerial and financial sustainability. |
Besides being unique, the organization’s programs will benefit the community at large. In this case, when applying the cost benefit analysis, the social benefit is greater than the social cost, similar to the social marginal benefit to the social marginal cost. The organization’s programs also exhibited a positive net present value; imply that besides improving the learning skills of students, the organization had spillover effects to the community. For instance, it created temporary and permanent employment opportunities that benefit the community in Orchard State. |
We currently have partial support from the State government, and a strong support from our Spanish private company the federal government and the community whom despite lacking show up and participate in social activities like cleaning at the Middle level schools. |

Special recognition The XTY was featured in Forbes, in 2017 as one of the most influential non-governmental organizations in Orchard state, in Orchard New Times as a unique remedy to the Orchard Middle level schools. The State and federal governments recognized the organization’s efforts in the education sector and pledged their support for future activities and programs. |

Summary of need statement The purpose of XTY organization’s first mission is to improve learning conditions in the all Orchard Middle level schools by first improving the schools’ learning equipments in the Orchard region. The Organization is the first step that ensured the 20 Middle school have current learning materials that would enhance and increase the reading skills of the pupils. This came after one school, Orchard Middle School, the largest middle school in the area has over 150 students at risk with poor reading skills behind their current grade levels. |
The organization managed to raise $1,000,025 for the fist phase of the program. Currently, the XTY organization targets a higher budget to expand its operations to cover 20 schools in Orchard State. |
XTY did not need any personnel since this stage entailed a direct communication between the funders and the officials of the organization. Therefore, in the beginning, there was no formal personnel needed since the members were equal to the task of presenting the organization’s proposal to the funder David Hume. |

Financial The XTY continues operations through corporate funding, private donations, and annual fund-injections from the State and federal government. For instance, Since XTY has a current multiple year project, our organization’s proposed budget was $3,000,056 for the entire project’s life cycle of 3 years. This amount will enable us to execute the first year’s plans effectively since $1, 325, 869 will be used in the first year alone due to the number of activities set to start. From our international donors from Spain, State government and the federal government’s funding, we managed to secure $2,800, 045. |

Finance manager closely works with the Human resource in knowing the amount to release based on the number of employees. Board and staff The XTY organization is run by an active board of directors comprised of the founder, and Chairman, project coordinator and manager, counselors (2), tutors (4), Human resource manager (1), Data analysist and supply chain manager (2) relations and mobilization manager (2) and finally the Education department of Orchard as the oversighting body. |
The unpaid internship programs mainly constitute of the local community’s graduates and it helps the organization in cutting management’s recurrent expenditure, and portraying the community’s good reception and rapport with the organizational values, goals, and objectives in Orchard State. |
All staff, interns, paid and volunteers undergo a rigorous background check with more emphasis on character, communication skills, and relation with kids, and education background. The Finance manager handles the day-to-day operations such as scheduling and payroll. The Finance manager closely works with the Human resource in knowing the amount to release based on the number of employees. He Finance manager also relates with the logistics, supply, and data management in getting the exact facts and data concerning the programs’ activities and amount of resources needed for purchasing the required resources. The counselors, help is motivating and treating student with low self-esteem and confidence, tutors enhancing reading skills in students and training teachers on the latest strategies and methods of enhancing classroom reading and learning. |
