Barrack Obama is an example of a leader who represents self-actualization.

Barrack Obama, who once served as the American President, gave a clear indication that he is self-actualized. This is because he had the intelligence and ability to leave behind narrow perspectives for s more accurate view of the world. For instance, in times of crisis, his perceptions were accurate on the moods of the country as more anxious than angry. In addition, Barrack Obama was problem-focused, and his focus gave him the capacity to ward off distractions.

My assertion is: Self-actualization is one of the authenticity aspects that form self-awareness foundation.

My explanation: Consequently, self-actualization can be termed as the complete realization of a person's potential and full development of a person's appreciation for life and their abilities.

My evidence;

This is seen through chapter four of the book, Discover you True North when Arianna Huffington talks about self-actualization. She talks about self-actualization in the quote, "A foundation of self-awareness leads to self-acceptance and ultimate self-actualization so that you can fulfill your greatest potential (George, 2015)."

My discussion:

The potentiality of a person is fulfilled through self-actualization. For instance, Barrack Obama, one of the former United States of America presidents, was self-actualized; therefore, he could fulfill his full potential (Niven, 2009). He was able to win in the presidential elections in two consecutive terms and was a successful leader during his tenure.

My connection

Furthermore, chapter four in the book provides a personal live life story of Arianna Huffington, which gives more explanation of authenticity, which results in self-actualization
