In the future, what types of jobs will most likely be automated? What types of jobs are more resistant to automation and why? Explain how technology advances will impact HOW we work.

Selected Answer:

Jobs that will be automated are jobs like call center reps and cashiers. A lot of the customer service jobs will be replaced with machines and robots.  Let’s think about when we call to pay a credit card bill. The information is entered via phone and they tell you all you need to know. Let’s think about the grocery stores there use to always be cashier, now most of them are self-pay.  Medical jobs like nurses, physicians, and the direct care will not be automated those occupation have to be done with one on one assistance and face to face encounters.  They are trying to make it so you won’t have to come to the Dr. office they can talk to you online

Explain how self and social awareness can help you know your personal strengths and limitations and help you be more successful at work.

Selected Answer:

Self and social awareness help me to know my strengths, work on my weaknesses, and reflect on my mistakes.  When trying to be success you must have the ability to accept and interact with opinions and accept criticism from others in a professional manner.  It’s very important that I learn to improve and accept different views.  This would also help me when applying for a higher position in the future. I remember when I first started working at a young age.  I thought I was perfect. Everytime someone spoke to me about something I would get upset and most of the time quit.  I'm so happy I have self evaluated myself in life and now is able to take things for improvment.
