Network Assignment

This project is an opportunity to design a Local Area Network (LAN) for a business such as retail, manufacturing, or an ONLINE store. This is a GROUP PROJECT , and it will serve as the focus for lectures and discussions.

DELIVERABLE:

Specify Information Servers

Database – Email – WEB – Transaction processors – Inventory management

1. Business with data centers located say in Los Angeles.

2. 15 or more addressable nodes in the network.

3. Data center has at least two or more departments and hence 2 or more LANs to configure.

4. LAN1 with 5 or more nodes – LAN2 with 5 or more nodes, LAN3 etc.

5. The other 5 or more nodes: Servers, Routers, Layer 3, Layer 2 switches, Firewalls.

6. The following choices you have regarding the LAN Client/Server NOS: MS-Windows.
