Gender equality element has been a major headline today with various activists adjudicating for its application. It has been called upon to various aspects and positions. Most of the course taken on the matter has laid stress on the role of women in leadership positions. Women have been left out in leadership decisions regarding their sexual orientation and ability. The following analysis focus on the ways the media has impacted on displaying women traits in efforts of shaping society’s norms.

The main ideas presented in the documentary is gender equality, the role of women in leadership as well as the sexual orientation of women and contribution of their beauty. Besides, another critical aspect that arises is the role of the media in showcasing women’s capabilities to the society. The documentary gives a clear message on the role of women in the society and the contribution of their youth and attractiveness in undertaking various duties they have been assigned. The sexual attractiveness also has seen many women rise to high ranked positions despite them being less capable as front-runners. There are various women seen to explicitly rise to top position since they are displayed as beautiful and attractive. The media has reported these cases making the United States to be ranked 90th in the world for women legislatures.

To conclude, as much as the media highly regards women, it also media displays other traits such as eating disorders. Women power should be determined by their ability and not just sexual orientation and beauty.
