EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE 4
Evidence-Based practice has its roots in medicine, and Nursing is a field of practical and hands-on. Evidence-based practice should follow the same pattern. Two of the essential needs of making the significant change are both support and leadership from different members of the organization, company or firm that will be implementing the Evolution Based Practise from nursing that is always practiced in hospital (Elly, 2018).
First, I would use quick, focussed written handouts because nurses can carry them on patients or be posted around the nursing unit for easy access, such as filling and pulling method for discounting urinary catheters. It is a system whereby saline will be instilled into a person's bladder until it is full, and then the catheter will be discontinued. This led to getting to know that affected people usually void almost immediately afterward and less often have retention and UTIs. Information sheets will be available in small quantities as well as supplies so that it becomes simple for nurses to document this easy procedure ("Interdisciplinary resources optimize evidence-based dental practice," 2015).
Another way of maintaining good Evidence-Based practice is by having leaders who can champion whatever strategy is being implemented by the firm or organization. They can participate in extracurricular practice or training and then practice hands-on with the staff or nurses. The distribution of information would be mostly inexperience, which will help nurses in the medical field implement and remember new procedures. Unit champions are an effective way to maintain Evidence-based practice training after the workers are first given new practices.
By being able to practice and maintain Evidence-based decision-making is influenced by having skills in this regard; nurses have experience since they do the job day in out. This makes one adopt or gain skills and training, and one will be more independently adhere to proven best practices and never go wrong in administering the best procedure in treating a patient (Rolfe, 2015).
One of the challenges that one can experience is getting leaders who will not want to help champion the company's ideas. Also, among the worker, there might be a group who may feel insecure and not want to teach others because they fear the loss of their jobs.
Ensuring that this does not happen as a leader, make sure there is unity among workers and all of them do benefit from all the training that will be conducted by the firm and treat them all as equal and not to favors.
