Classmate 1

Week 8! At times this class was very intense, felt like there was a lot of work, and honestly felt like I was reading another language. Through the weeks my understanding of the material grew and though I don’t think I am too interested leading and/or participating in some type of research, I have a better understanding of how to read the graphs, table, charts, and experiment procedures. I do believe that research is important to the counseling profession because it's a way to possibly develop new approaches to counseling to help our client's or form new ideas, and also is essential to our professional development. I would’ve never thought I would understand what F and T tests were used for. At my job I work with a lot of numbers and outcomes, but nothing to this degree. I appreciated this class because it challenged me to work harder and the pressure was definitely on to do well.

Classmate 2

I have learned a lot in this class more than I expected. I have always had anxiety about classes that had anything to do with math problems calculations you name it ,I felt the worst about it. I feel that the class and my team made this more manageable then I would ever think including Jeremy . I was able to get the work done as long as I did all of the reading the work was relatively doable. The most difficult I feel was the scenarios on which tests would be appropriate to use. This is where the text was confusing. Asking Jeremy to clarify is better then what the book could have told us. I learned how to structure a study which was the most interesting part of the class along with structuring studies around other statistics that I read about . I would probably enjoy getting into a career with criminal justice as a forensic analyst it would seem like this kind of class would be useful to me.
