HELP NEEDED WK6 DUE IN 4 DAYS
Organization-Wide Operating Budget
Your budget should be complete at this point with an addendum for capital improvement or equipment expansion. Now you will create a Transmittal Letter such as the one shown on page 108 of your text. Preferably the letter is not more than 2 pages long and highlights the budget income and expenses that you projected. This letter can be customized to fit your type of business/funding sources whether it is a Bank, Board of Trustees, Board of Directors, Grant Board, or individual Philanthropist. Make sure the most important information is listed first and the least important information is not included or listed last. Finally, write a one page summary detailing why you (the reviewer now, not the applicant) would approve this budget. Submit your comprehensive “Organization Wide Operating Budget” from Weeks 1-5 as a finalized project, including your Transmittal Letter from Week 6. Use the feedback you have received from your Instructor up to this point to make any changes or additions to your budget. Your cumulative budget project should be 12-18 pages in length and contain your Budget Introduction, Projected Revenue Sources and Ethical Issues, Projected Expenses, Projected Profit/Loss, Capital Budget Addendum and your Transmittal Letter.
Week 1 feedback
Content - 2 out of 5 points - This was very weak in the details. You needed to give much more attention to the granularity of the topics. This is not a briefing but rather a plan/proposal start. Writing/Organization - 2 points Research - 1 out of 2 points - Only used one reference of many available. Style - 1 out of 1
What about psychologists? Clinical social workers?
How many in the area your program will serve?
Grants are great. Which ones?
Please review how to format a reference page appropriately.
Week 2 feedback
Content - 3 out of 5 points - You had some basics in place but really needed to explain further. For instance, you could have expanded on what each grant does and how long it can be used for. Writing and Organization - 1 out of 2 points - Please find my comments embedded. Research - 2 out of 2 points Style - 1 out of 1 - Please ensure future submissions do have the abstract included.
Please review the use of the semi-colon. You are not using it appropriately.
Need to explain what these grants are for and how you will ensure you receive the funding.
What leads you to expect this? (third paragraph, 4th sentence.. Out of the patients….)
Sentences starting with numbers spell out the numbers. So this would be "Ten.."
Week 3 feedback
Content - 2 out of 5 - More development of content is necessary. Please see the embedded comments. Writing/Organization - 2 out of 2 Research - 1 out of 2 - These should be building with more peer reviewed material. APA Style - 1 out of 1
Please break this down by type of staff, number of staff, and salary. This is needing a bit more clarification. (2nd paragraph)
These benefits are often expensive. For government employees I figure in at least 20% of the salary to determine the amount of benefits on average. Don't forget healthcare is very much a real consideration, too! Or you could just contract with solo providers and pay them by procedure.
Try to put this information in a table. I also think you will want to be more descriptive about the agency and the mission. (last paragraph)
Week 4 feedback
Content - 2 out of 5 - More detail needed. This was very weak and was much the same paper from last week. Writing - 2 out 2 Research 1 out of 2 - Very weak. Needs much more support Style - 0 - Missing abstract as mentioned before.
The same comments from last week's submission still apply. Please read those and make necessary changes.
Need to see breakdown by procedure codes as indicated in the instructions. (chart)
Many more professional resources are necessary. This is very weak. (reference list)
