Research Design Selection and Justification
As already discussed intensively in week 5 assignment, this study will employ a qualitative research method to collect its data. The method was selected based on the benefits that it offers the researcher in addressing a social problem just like the one the study aims to solve (Creswell et al, 2007). Considering the objectives of the current study, this study will use an action research design to complete the study. The main objective of this study is to synthesize information that administrators can rely on to develop strategies that will enhance employee wellbeing and health in residents’ homes healthcare organizations. In this regard to get a clear perspective of the organizations, the researcher will source some of its participants in the study from the organizations (Edwards 2010). Similarly, the researcher will have to collaborate with the organizations in question to justify the strategies that will be modeled from the research findings.
Since this study will be conducted at the individual level, action research design provides an individual action research design that will allow the researcher to conduct the study alone. Conducting a study that involves solving a problem requires that the solution is assessed for its effectiveness after the recommendations have been implemented (Creswell et al, 2007). Action research design is imperative in this perspective since the design provides a framework that allows the researcher to assess the effectiveness of the solutions that was recommended after they have been implemented. Similarly, this research design has been identified as the best because the design provides a research framework in which the researcher will be able to use either survey interviews, questionnaires or even observation as tolls to collect data which have proven to be cheap and easy to analyze the collected data (Edwards 2010). Based on the above benefits of conducting research using action research design, I will use the design in conducting my study.

This section should be discussing the specific type of qualitative study you are planning….for example, in the purpose statement you stated Action Research….this is where you discuss Action Research in detail…how does a researcher carry out an Action Research study?
