Patient Assessment

In this section you will provide an assessment of Henok’s symptoms. Based on a physical exam, you know what he is experiencing is physically. Use what you learned from your EDAPT concepts AND at least 1 peer reviewed journal article in addition to the article provided in the course, to explain to Henok why he is experiencing the things he has identified ( chest pains but has normal EKG and bloodwork, not sleeping well, thoughts of failure, bleaching his hair, making large purchases without discussing it with his wife, getting the phone number of a female coworker to meet for drinks, but he felt guilty and threw it in the trashcan right away and missing his late father.). Make sure to relate what he is experiencing to middle adulthood. Specifically address each of the key points provided in the instructions outlining what Henok is experiencing. Make sure to utilize the academic writing skills learned in your first healthcare checkup (third person, use research-based claims [what you learned regarding middle adulthood], 5-sentence minimum for paragraphs based on the MEAL plan [see last page for resources] cite often). This section should be written in paragraph format and be 2 paragraphs in length. The first paragraph is your summary of the patient assessment. The second paragraph is identifying and explaining the relationship between what Henok is experiencing and middle adulthood.

Recommendations for Overcoming Feelings

In this section you will provide recommendations for Henok to overcome these feelings. Along with the recommendation you will provide rationale for the recommendation. Specifically address each of the previously identified experiences and feelings that Henok has identified ( He is experiencing chest pains but has normal EKG and bloodwork. He hasn't been sleeping well. He thinks he is a failure. He recently had his black hair bleached blonde. He bought a beach house and hasn't told his wife yet. He got the phone number of a female coworker to meet for drinks, but he felt guilty and threw it in the trashcan right away. He has found himself missing his late father). Base your recommendations AND rationale on this week’s EPAPT concepts AND at least 1 peer reviewed journal article in addition to the one provided in the course. This section should also utilize those academic writing skills.

Treatment Recommendations

In this section you are going to provide treatment recommendations. Although Henok’s symptomology is psychosomatic in nature and he does have normal test results, he is still experiencing some physical manifestations (stress, trouble sleeping, ect). Here, provide a treatment plan which includes both psychological and physical interventions. Include rationale for your treatment recommendations. Again, use your EDAPT concepts (those that apply) and at least 1 peer reviewed journal article in addition to the one provided in the course. This section be 2 paragraphs in length (1 paragraph on physical health care interventions and 1 paragraph on psychological health care interventions) and employ academic writing.

Words of Wisdom

In this section you want to normalize Henok’s fears and provide him with some words of encouragement. I would recommend using one of the theories covered in EDAPT regarding middle adulthood. Use it to explain how what Henok is experiencing is normal and a part of life. This section can be in 1st or 3rd person, include in text citation, and be a paragraph in length.
