Case study 2: The Johnson Family

What is your role as a teacher? What assistance is available to Michael and his family in your family?

My role as a teacher would be taking charge of advising the student Michael Johnson who has been arriving at school early about 30 minutes and never dresses appropriately. This will be trough informing him on how this is influencing his behavior and affecting his learned behavior. The problems that the case study are of a student who arrives sot schools early never dress appropriately for the weather and his general appearance is sloppy. His is time very aggressive and hostile to his classmates since he disturbs them many times, making them unable to deal with the behavior hence get distracted in school work. Bruises on his skins are signs of hi being tortured by their parents or guardians. However, since he portrays the symptoms of aggressiveness, this might be another cause of the bruises to the classmates who don’t leave him to abuse but instead deal with him accurately by revenging from his deeds.

On engaging him, he opens up and says that his stepfather is very hard on him, and this is what makes him have such a behavior. Some of the community services that I would take to ensure that Michael Johnson gets the required help will be, communicating the issue to the relevant authority in the community as this will help in ensuring that he gets justice and peace of mind. His father should be taken to summoning in the court as this will help in making sure the stepfather gets warned and changes his deeds to the student. As a teacher, I will ensure that the student receives justice, and I will advise him on how he can settle own despite the torture from the stepfather. Engaging community assistance organs as they will help Michael and his family to get justice and get freed from such acts. Communication will be fostered verbally and nonverbally.
