Who has the greatest responsibility for ethical conduct in the judicial system?

The one I would say that has the greatest responsibility for ethical conduct although each

role are equally just as important it is the role of the judge for me. The reason that I picked this

role is because in this role the judge will have to be unbiased when upholding the law and fair

when it is time render their decision. The judge has a set of code of conduct that was adopted by

the Judicial Conference of the United States to help judges with ethical principles and it gives

them the guidelines to show them their roles on how to do things the right way (Kelly, 2016).

What is the role of citizens, both in terms of their own actions and in terms of

accountability?

The role of the citizen in terms of their own actions I would say is be accountable or

accountability. Often things in the judicial systems fails all because a citizen either did not come

through on their behalf rather it be testifying or even just telling what they saw instead the

infamous “I didn’t see or hear anything”. Imagine how many times a suspect has gotten away

with a crime because no one wanted to speak up or be involved. The same would be the same

when a citizen is call from jury duty instead of trying to figure out how to get out of it the citizen

should just do their duty, who knows by them being there it could save a innocent person from

going to prison or guilty person from walking free.
