Abstract

            The article focuses on the application of management information systems in schools or academic institutions and the progress that the technology has made on the school administration and the entire school culture.

· Clearly state what the article is about and its purpose

            The article talks about the impacts that the management information system has on the school administration. The article has highlighted some of the positive impacts of information management systems, such as changing the school administration or management decision making, leadership, communication, human resource management, and planning.  According to the author, these positive impacts have helped to alter the overall school management and appearance. The purpose of the article is to enhance the efficiency of school office activities.

· How the article and/or author(s) support your argument(s)

           This article has supported my argument in CLA 1 on the creation of a cross-functional organization through the implementation of the management information systems within the organization. The article has highlighted how Cross-Functional can be achieved. For instance, providing concrete information that is needed for the decision making process, prompting strong leadership, and enhancing the decision making process.

· Most important aspects of the article

            The important aspect of this article is how the management information system can integrate itself into different areas and achieve numerous objectives.  According to the article, the management information systems have been able to achieve numerous objectives within school leadership despite there being numerous hindrances. For instance, lack of a technical support team, lack of effective operational skills, and a lack of effective training.

· Any findings and conclusions

            An overall assessment shows improvement in the application of ICT in schools and the increased ability of teachers to use this technology. The article has, however, recommended that further studies should be conducted to identify the areas that management information systems need to be improved to meet the needs of every institution.

· Include the industry example demonstrating the application of your researched article     

           Application of management information system is important for all of the industries to improve organizational management,  increase productivity, and optimize the decision-making process, etc.
