Introduction
The literature is replete with studies documenting the negative implications of inadequate nurse staffing. This presentation examines this most important issue facing nursing, focusing first on the search methodology to find four substantive peer-reviewed articles related to the topic.
Notes:
Studies have shown that each additional patient cared for by a nurse increased the 30-day mortality risk to patients by 7% (AMN, 2019).
