It is a medical service that defends against health emergencies.
Preventive services are aimed at helping people remain healthy and to detect any health-related problems early giving a better chance of recovery. It involves well-woman appointments, annual physicals and dental cleanings. Some of the services includecontraception,immunizations,patient counselling, check-ups, and allergy medications (Evans, & Stoddart, 2017). Other preventive care measures are colonoscopies, high cholesterol and skin cancer screening tests. Different diseases are nipped in the bud before they become catastrophic hence achieving the goal of preventive care which is helping people stay healthy. It is a beneficial move for it keeps health care costs low.
It is an outpatient occupational and physical therapy clinic specializing in sports medicine, orthopedics and the upper extremity (kok, et al., 2015). The services help an individual get back, keep or improves skills and functioning for daily living that have been interfered with because they were hurt, sick or disabled. The services also include psychiatric rehabilitation, rehabilitative Medicare, speech-language pathology and support in variety of outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
