There are many things which one should consider during a speech presentation. Ethical public speaking does not occur during the five or so minutes and an individual is doing a presentation because it is a process. To be perfect in a presentation one should begin with brainstorming the specific topic for the speech. Every other time an individual is given a chance to do a presentation in a formal event or a case of impromptu it has always to be fulfilling (Kirzhikov, 2021). It is therefore important to remain honest with the audience and avoid plagiarism to attain speech goals.

A speaker needs to be open to the audience and tell them the reason for the specific presentation and all the issues being addressed. Taking good notes during speech preparation helps in delivering a good piece of a presentation. The notes takes should make the speaker recall with ease the information to be delivered at every point of the speech (Kirzhikov, 2021). All work should be well cited to avoid situations of plagiarism.

Setting reasonable goals helps in delivering speech goals. Reasonable goals will be key to ethical public communication. One should ensure the choice of language is inclusive, promoting diversity, ensure there are no cases of hate speech, use respectful speech, and always aim at raising social awareness.

Promoting diversity is important. After all, it favors the target audience because people come from different groups and could be multicultural. The use of inclusive language makes the speaker reasonable and responsible enough. A good example can be given by the use of “We” which makes the speaker and the audience unite. Speakers should also raise social awareness by bringing in the ideas of gender, race, and cultural diversity. This can also be done by recognizing issues that the specific audience community considers important (Carnegie, 2017). Throughout the process of speech delivery, speakers should remain respectful and living to the values of respecting the audience. Speakers should create a good balance between their speech freedom and the obligation to respect the members of the audience.
