Museum Focus
With a population of about 209,889 as of first July people is Fayetteville town; located in North Carolina. This is in accordance with the data found on the United States Census Bureau website (USCB. 2017). The geographical location of this wonderful town lies in the western parts of the Coastal plains around the Cape Fear River. Travelers to this town often visit the I-95 corridor which goes across the heart of Fayetteville town. The temperatures within the town are moderate in a year. (FCEDC) The city has a variety of races with a population of white people being slightly above 45.8% of the general population. The African Americans make up 42.0%, the Hispanic or the Latino people make up 11.6%, the Asian Americans (Indians) 0.9%, and of the population while other races make up about 8.8% of the city’s population. (USCB. 2017).
Running a Museum in this town can be a good business since the city does have a conducive business environment especially with the number of visitors it does receive. Offering the people a museum which does showcase the people’s culture and arts can be welcoming to the visitors to these can lure them into learning more about the city’s culture and the rich arts the community does possess. The local people can also visit the museum with the purpose of studies and appreciation of their culture. The history and culture of the Native Americans in this city and the surrounding environment can be showcased through the construction of their native houses. Native artifacts of the town’s community can also be included in the museum to show our appreciation of the people who are our hosts. We can also acquire the city’s native fine arts pieces to enhance our services. I am pretty much sure that the visiting people and the locals can be interested in learning more about the town, its neighboring communities and the preserved culture.
