[Crime Scene 2 Introduction] " You respond to a 911 call placed by a neighbor who heard a loud disturbance between a male " and a female. The neighbor reports that about 30 minutes later a single gunshot was heard. " When you arrive, you find the front door to the house ajar. Blood is visible from the doorway. " Looking further through the doorway reveals more extensive distribution of blood in the room. "

[Area: Outside] " Choose all actions that apply: " Look for evidence of forced entry into the home. " Determine who the second person is that the neighbor reported hearing. " Formulate theory based on apparent crime scene and seek evidence to prove that theory. " Collect the 911 recording. " Talk to the neighbor—get a clear statement and account of what was heard or seen. "
[Area: Neighbor] " The neighbor reports that the other voice she heard was the girlfriend of the deceased. The " girlfriend contacts police after returning to the house that evening to find it a crime scene. She " willingly comes into the station.
