Goal 1: Develop my skills in conducting thorough psychiatric exams.
· Objective 1: Complete at least ten supervised comprehensive psychiatric evaluations by the end of the practicum. · Objective 2: Develop a checklist to ensure all components of the psychiatric evaluation are covered during each session. · Objective 3: Obtain feedback from the preceptor on each evaluation and implement suggestions for improvement. Goal 2: Get more proficient in using diagnostic thinking.
· Objective 1: Participate in weekly case discussions to practice differential diagnosis development. · Objective 2: Review and study at least two DSM-5-TR case studies per week to familiarize yourself with standard diagnostic criteria. · Objective 3: Collaborate with the preceptor to review and discuss potential alternative diagnoses. Goal 3: Build confidence in selecting and implementing appropriate screening tools. · Objective 1: Identify and use five screening tools during the practicum. · Objective 2: Document and reflect on the outcomes of using different screening tools, noting areas of success and improvement. · Objective 3: Seek feedback from the preceptor on selecting and implementing screening tools and making necessary adjustments.
