Wireframe

The above picture is the wireframe of the News application. As soon as the user opens the application the new users will require to make an account whereas the old users will be asked to log in with their selected account. After the new user sets up his/her account they will be directed to the selection page where they are required to select at least 3 options from the list in which they are interested in. After that, they will be directed to the home page of the application. On the home page, there are five buttons on the bottom of the screen with different functions for each of the buttons.

Paper Prototype

This is the first page shown by the application after opening it. In this page, if the user is new to this application then they are required to create an account for this application by providing details.

This page is shown to the existing users of this application in which they have to log in with their account through which they created while using this application for the first time. And also, ‘remember me’ button is also available so that users don’t have to log in every time when they use this application.

After the new users are done with creating an account for this application they are directed to choose any of the given options from the list requiring to choose at least three. By choosing the options from this list, the contents are shown according to the user preferences.

This is the home page of the application. After the new users are done with the formalities they are prompt to this page as well as the old users. In this page the news is divided into two sections, one is recent, where it shows the most recently updated news, whereas the second one is, trending, in which the news which is trending is shown whether the news is of today or past days. In this page, the news is both national and international.

This is the page of the ‘News’ button (second from left). In this page, the news is related to the national news depending on the location of the users.

This is the video section(third from left) of the application. In this section, the news is provided with videos so that the users don’t feel bored to read the whole article. There are certain users to read but watch videos.

This is the search page of this application. In the search bar, the users can search for anything like, about their favourite sports or celebrity or the writers they like to read. In this page, the user can also clear their search history if they want to maintain their privacy.

This is the ‘Explore’ page of the application in which the users will be able to visit the different subjects from around the world. This page will be helpful for the user to go to any sectors in a matter of seconds.

This is the profile page of the user. In this page, the users can track down their activities in the application. And the videos or news they save can be accessed from this page.

This is the settings menu of the application. Through this menu, the users would be able to handle their privacy or can switch to dark mode if necessary or even can log out of this application.
