Primary objective: Develop and communication informed personal opinions related to political trade issues of importance.

Please use critical thinking and the provided information to make informed opinions related to the China – US trade situation.

U. S. trade policy toward China has been a hot topic in recent months.

1) Discuss how tariffs work and what they mean for companies, workers, and consumers.  In a paragraph explain how tariffs work and use information from the suggested sources to reinforce this understanding.

2) How do you feel about the way the United States is approaching trade negotiations with China?

3) Will the United States succeed in getting what it wants from China?
