Welcome to Week One!

Objective: Establish a baseline for our future discussions.

Instructions:

Consider this forum a party mixer for a business situation. Write a 500 words essay (at least 500 words) introducing yourself to your classmates and colleagues.Your essay should have an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Your introduction essay must address ALL the following topics and anything else you wish to include:

· Your demographic location (Central Florida, Tampa, etc.)

· What you like to do with your free time (hobbies, etc.)

· Your professional aspirations

· Your academic major

· Your personal education goals?

· How do you think the material to be covered in this course will be of use to you professionally, personally or educationally?

· Skills you wish to develop or improve in this course?

· What experience do you have with accounting?

· What are your expectations for this course?

· What specific course-related topics would you like to see presented?

Don't forget to read through your peer postings and feel free to start a conversation. Remember, the members of this discussion board will be your most important resource this semester!

 You must participate in a discussion forum before we cover the chapter regarding your thoughts and any questions on the material discussed in each unit. Your participation in the discussion forum will count towards your participation grade.

Evaluation:

· This discussion will be graded based on participation (worth 10 points in total)

· Write in standard English using grammatically correct sentences and well organized paragraphs.Please, refer to the grading rubric for more details.

· It is required to post your thoughts considering the points of discussions. Read THREE (3) postings from your peers and reply to TWO (2) of them.

· Please, keep in mind as this is a College-Level course, you will be graded on grammar and spelling as well content.

How to post a message to this forum:

· Click on "Reply" to create your thread.  

· Create a unique Subject.

· Type your response in the Message box. Make sure you follow the directions in the syllabus for creating a substantial discussion post.

· If you have any attachments, simply add them by clicking on the "Add Attachments" button

· Click “Submit” when you are ready to post your discussion topic.
