1. Explore selected social determinants in the community impacting health and wellness from a nursing perspective (CO 2).

2. Examine a current health policy initiative in the community addressing one of the social determinants in the development of an advocacy platform with strategies for communicating to the policymaker (CO 2).

3. Discuss the types of coalitions needed to gain support for a health care policy platform (CO 3).
