External Environmental Assessment: This is an assessment of the external environment affecting a healthcare organization selected by the student. Purpose: To develop skills for understanding the environmental relationships between various health organizations and their stakeholders and prepare a report on the external environmental factors that affect a healthcare organization's delivery of care and marketing. Select a health care provider organization, preferably a hospital or physician group practice in the United States. Conduct an external environmental assessment for the organization. Be sure the assessment covers the business, demographic, ethnocultural, political, and regulatory issues. Include a diagram showing the environmental forces you have identified and the interrelationships among them and with the organization. When you have completed the assessment, make a note of at least five apparent threats that are facing the organization as well as at least five opportunities. Write a 350 to 500 page paper and discuss the following:

· What sources of data did you use and why?

· What are the business, demographic, ethnocultural, political, and regulatory issues.

· Type of strategic planning tools to understand and analyze the data.

· What actions would you recommend?
