Nursing Homework week 9

A 48-year-old female presents for follow-up of hypothyroidism. Is taking levothyroxine 100 mcg daily as instructed. Reports mild fatigue and some occasional cold intolerance. Denies hair loss, constipation, or weight gain/loss. No new symptoms or medication changes, BP 122/76 mmHg, HR 68 bpm, Weight 165 lbs, BMI 26.3, Thyroid non-enlarged, no nodules, Skin warm and dry, no edema. Most recent TSH (3 months ago): 3.5 µIU/mL. Hypothyroidism, stable, Fatigue, mild, Continue levothyroxine 100 mcg PO qday. Repeat TSH and free T4 today. Reinforce taking medication on an empty stomach. Educated on monitoring for symptoms of hypo/hyperthyroidism. Return in 3 months or sooner if symptoms worsen.
