DISCUSSION 1.
According to Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, on regulations requiring U. S. citizens to obtain health insurance involves:
As per the Law, individuals under the age of 26 years can stay on the parent’s health insurance policy. Obama Care does not allow insurance companies from denying plan participation because of health status, medical history, prior claims experience, genetic information, disability or evidence of insurability. Therefore, insurance is required to accept all those applying for individual and small group plans and to guarantee policy renewal, except in the case of fraud or nonpayment. Insurance is not required to impose current conditions included on children or grown-ups and long period waiting are not required.
The ACA provides tax credits persons with low income to make insurance premiums, deductibles, and co-pays cheap. In acquiring tax credits, persons need to purchase health insurance plans through a health benefit exchange. All persons and small group health plans are required to meet or exceed an essential benefits package that includes the following major categories of health services: Hospitalization, ambulatory services, Maternal and newborn care, emergency services, Prescription drugs and lab services, Preventative and wellness services and chronic disease management, Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices, , Pediatric services including dental and vision care.
Other requirements that the law ensures to meet minimum standards established by the U.S department of health and human service requires insurance companies to: consider the effect on the patient before denying a crime, handle urgent crime appeals within 24 hours, provide those claiming with all backup paperwork, use plain English in their communications and observe all rules published by Health and Human Services.
According to my pay position, it is justifiable in enforcing this law because under Obama Care, insurance companies are not supposed to judge women more than men for insurance. Instead, companies are required to set premiums based on family structures, geography, age, tobacco use and the actuarial value of the plan.
