Christianity

ORIGIN OF ALL THINGS

Provide your response in this column.

Christianity is inherited from the Jewish cosmology which from the beginning of the religion which dates as earlier as the letters of Paul, the adherents associated Christ with the creative work of God. He Is one Lord through whom all things exist and by whom we are. He is the wisdom of God. The sight of the invisible God and the firstborn of all creatures in who all things were made and now exist. Moreover, creation has now an end and purpose in him, Christ.

The general interest and creation cosmology of Christians has shifted from being concerned with technique to that of relationship, the dependency on the creator not only for the creation but His subsistence too.

The general Thanksgiving in common prayer books encourages Christians to give thanks for our creation, preservation and all the blessings of life. Therefore, God is regarded as not only the cause of all things, past, present and future but also the essence of their being since if He withdrew his creative presence from an entity, it ceases to exist.

NATURE OF GOD/CREATOR

Provide your response in this column.

Christians refer to God as the Holy. God is separate from all other things and is pure. God is omnipotent; He is all powerful. There is no limit to God's might. He accomplishes what he wants to accomplish. God is omniscient, the knower of everything. God has a foreknowledge that is connected with two aspects; prescience and preaquaintanceship. God is immutable. All things in the world change but God does not change.

VIEW OF HUMAN NATURE

Provide your response in this column.

·

According to the Christians, the first human beings were created in the image of God. "God created man in his image." The book of Genesis highlights all the events of creation. Then God said, let us make man in our image, our likeness and let him rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air. However, the disobedience of Adam and Eve came with bad results, and all man has to endure up to this day. The origin of sin makes every born human being to be sinful. Sin is universal, and every human being is taught to be born with the tendency of committing sins.

VIEW OF GOOD & EVIL

According to Christians, all goodness flows from God’s inherent character and evil is refusing to submit to His authority and love and serve Him. God is good, and his love endures forever. The Christian worldview believes that all that is good comes from God and all that He does is good because He can't contradict His inherent nature.

Because of Sin, human beings are separated from God and in need of a savior to bridge the gap and provide a way for salvation. The sinful nature of human wars with their desire for God.

VIEW OF SALVATION

·

According to Christians, human beings are often faced with problems of temptation. They are swayed easily by sin and brought to darkness. The problem of getting temptations is individually manifested despite that temptations are there for everybody. The degree by which a saved soul can get back to sin is different in people with other people who have strong faith having resistance to temptation by sin.

VIEW OF AFTERLIFE

Provide your response in this column.

Christians believe in life after death. The death of a person is just but physical death. When a person dies, his soul goes to the "Father" God himself to wait for the day of judgement, but the body dies completely. Christians believe that there will be resurrection during the second coming of Christ when He will come to take the "Chose one," those who could have kept and lived in His faith.
