This week we start our second unit on privilege and oppression.  This is a group discussion and you are expected to write your own post, read your group's posts, and respond to at least one other person's post.

 

1) After reading this week's articles and watching the videos - what is something that you better understand about the concept of privilege?  What was something surprising that you hadn't thought of before?

 

2) Identify a short (4-7 items) list of privileges that you experience in your life and identify what type of privilege this is (gender, race, able-bodied, etc.).

 

3) Have you ever discussed privilege with anyone? How did that conversation go?

 

4) How did the content in the three short videos we watched this week reinforce or challenge this week's readings? Which was most helpful regarding this week's material and why?
