Background
SneakGuapo is the stage name of Seattle born rapper George Edwards. The rapper is a member of two groups “Moor gang rap collective” and “Traxxhouse rap collective.” According to Matson (2017) the rapper has been rapping since 8th grade when he met Mackned. He became the newest member of Seattle’s Moor gang in 2013 where he released his first single album Suicide capital. This was followed by another album in 2014 titled Light-house on Jupiter. SneakGuapo is also an actor having appeared in the movie Martingale. Currently the artist has four studio albums including; Suicide Capital (2013), Lighthouse on Jupiter (2014), Burn Unit (2016), and Guapseason (2017). He has also released various singles including The Child (2013) No Sleep (From the Streets) (2014), Dank Sinatra (2014), Talking to a Birdie (2015), and Trapping Out My Mommas House (2016).
Current projects
The artist is looking for exclusive beats to his new projects. The exclusive beats are part of his new project and would compliment his unique rapping style. The rapper is also back in the studio and working on a new album after a brief hiatus from releasing new music. There are various collaborations in the pipeline for the artist as he tries to reclaim his position in the Seattle music scene.
According to Spears (2014) SneakGuapo is able to use different tones in his music. This makes his style unique in comparison to some of the other rappers. In Ghost of the Future the rapper is able to implement different tones including mournful tones to create the ambiance. The track is considered spooky and the use of hand beaten drums and mournful tones creates the appropriate ambiance. SneakGuapo’s style is a blend of both the old and new styles of rap that will make him remain relevant for a long time.
