Addiction

In the United States, at least 21 million Americans have at least one drug. Of those 21 million, 18-25 are drug overdue (Yerby, 2019). To make matters worse, about 2.1 million people are addicted to opioids, and 5% are addicted to heroin (Yerby, 2019). Yerby (2019) found that 10% of opioids are addicted to drug addicts. Prescribed medicines are widely prescribed and manufactured in pharmaceutical laboratories. Many teens consider street drugs to be safer than drugs, a dangerous misconception that leads to overdoses and can lead to death (American Center for Addiction, 2019). As parents of addicted children, life can be difficult and difficult. Parents who blame themselves or each other for drug use in the child or their adolescent child may be involved in a "bad" group or domestic rule (American Addiction Center, 2019). Below is the Patrokis family and their struggle against drug addiction.

Helen Petrakis is a 52-year-old married woman who takes care of three mothers and a mother-in-law. Recently Helen's wife, mother, and Magda exerted intense pressure in an attempt to balance her life as a watchdog for social life. He was tired and sad in himself. To reduce stress in her home and ease some of the tasks in her plate, Helen suggested that her eldest daughter, Alec, accompany and care for her grandmother Magda (Plummer, Marquis, Broken, 2014). Little did he know that this proposed step would give him great importance. Struggling to control herself from a young age, her grandmother began stealing money and drugs soon after leaving with her grandmother Alec, who is currently on probation for two years. Finished (Plummer, Marcus, Broken, 2014). After learning about her son's background and what he currently thinks, Helen is confused and does not know how to help Alec without upsetting the rest of the family and confuses the education of her probation officer. Alec's whereabouts are unknown at the moment, and Helen is worried about him (Plummer, Marquis, Broken, 2014). The therapeutic team was selected by this author to focus on serving as a family member of medicine for Helen Petrakis. The author chose this type of group for Helen because she thinks that Helen understands that her son Alec wants help, but this teacher does not believe how Helen perceives addiction and the help of her child.

Type of Treatment group

Since Helen is a primary family member of a person addicted to drugs, this is the recommended treatment group for parents who help their children drink alcohol. Has become accustomed to substances. This group is "Who cares about parents: My son is a slave."

Purpose of the Group

"Caring Parents: My Child Is an Addiction" supports parents of children addicted to alcohol and alcohol. This group will teach parents addiction, its purpose in their child's life, coping skills and how to help their child at this time in their life. Each member is encouraged to share their stories and receive guidance on how to better cope with their children's addiction.

Membership

Once sponsorship is decided, the author will not decide how the new team will be funded and how the group will be formed (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). When thinking about different types of addiction and age range, the teacher decided to divide her group into all components, but focused on children 18 and older. The reason is that parents with young children are slaves, they do not associate children with adults, parents are more independent, so their experiences, ways of behaving, and even their rights are different. - are different. . However, the parents' group of children still depends on them, they are not 18 years old and they may still experience different outcomes than adults and children. Therefore, it focuses on parents of adult children (18 years or older) who are addicted to and dependent on alcohol and drugs.

Method to Recruit

In the recruitment process, other employees or medical professionals ask if there are parents with older children who are addicted to drugs and alcohol, cassette records, mailing lists from agencies, asking clients if you know potential members Those that fit the profile, social networking offices and clinics, and websites; One writer sat down with the idea that a group of women should do this or discriminate on the basis of gender. The reason for this idea of girls is that mothers are more accustomed to their children and more concerned (Atshat, 2016). The teacher decided to join a different group to better understand the different perspectives on the culture of man, woman and his traditional children.

Composition

The integrity of group therapy is that team members have the sole desire to remain in that group (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). The author hopes that parents want to learn more about drugs, interact with their children, and incorporate their coping skills into the group to manage what is happening in their lives. Group diversity learning involves diversity within the group, which helps to better understand various issues within the group (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). "Who Cares for Parents: My Child is an Addictive," this author sets women and men apart to help them all learn new skills and think of new ways. To manage their child. - Different castes and cultures and family systems are targeted. Finally, team members and team participants meet issues and socio-political factors in each of these structures (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). The teacher expects to first send out surveys (including interviews) on what kind of involvement parents have in group dynamics and how they respond to their behavior. This study will help the teacher to understand who is the best in the group.

Size

Small groups give members a more personal understanding and make them more communicative (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). The group size does not exceed 8 participants (with 16 pairs) as the pair is considered one participant per child. The duration of the program is six months. Dates and times are estimated and considered during the interview process.

Open / Close

Due to the nature of the group and the weakness of the people, this author decided

Stay in a closed group. Closed groups create greater cohesion and parents build trust and trust in one another (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). Having an open team allows the team to step back and discuss issues that have already been resolved and repeated, and ease the recovery process for them.

Monitoring

Monitoring the process and progress of the group will help this author to continuously monitor and discuss the needs of the group (Dosland, Rivas, 2016). This is the editorial board's pre-investigation and central review and post-review plan. The interviewer will focus on topics that parents have already created and topics that parents want to discuss. It asks for analysis between useful or unexpected things and how the team assesses what to improve and what to work on. Finally, after the review you will be asked what they got from the team, what was useful and what could be improved.
