After reviewing the YouTube videos in the lesson, setting up a recurring meeting is an excellent feature to use to keep your schedule organized.  I use Microsoft Office 365 software which is not much different than the 2016 version.

I will base the meeting set-up process based on the Office 365 version.  First, access the Outlook calendar and select the new meeting icon at top of the ribbon.  Next, populate the meeting invitation with the required and optional people along with the applicable information required for the meeting.  Then proceed to select the Make Recurring icon which creates an appointment recurrence pop-up window to signify how often and the length of time the meeting will recur.  For example, you can set the meeting to reoccur on the sixth day of December 2021 every month thereafter with an end date the following year.  The last step is to send the meeting invitation out to the required and optional personnel to accept.

If you have a meeting that needs rescheduling, there is an option to modify the original meeting.  Open the calendar to locate the meeting and just hover over the meeting and right click which will enable a pop-up menu to open the meeting occurrence or series that needs rescheduling, or you could also cancel it.  Then, you can then send an updated invitation to the applicable personnel with the changes.

There are so many software applications to use to conduct virtual meetings now with the advancement of technology.  The one I am most familiar with it is the Zoom application.  It is user-friendly and just downloaded the app on my computer and cell phone.  It enables me to communicate with my family anytime mainly during the holidays.  It is cool that we can all see on video regardless of where we are in the states instead of talking on the phone.  I have had a new appreciation for technology since the pandemic.  I use Veterans Affairs (VA) Video Connect to meet with my doctors via video conference instead of meeting them in person due to COVID restrictions.  VA Video Connect is a mobile software application that allows members to connect to a virtual medical doctor regarding health issues.  I like it since I would normally have to travel over fifty miles each way to see my doctor in person.  Also, ZOHO MEETING is a familiar web-based meeting program.  My church used the service to conduct virtual meetings with our associate churches throughout the U.S. Southeast region.  The service served our organization well since it was cost-effective and no need to download any software (Ramey, n.d).

I am familiar with the virtual meeting applications that I mentioned above and found them to be user-friendly with no difficulty.  I enjoyed using them and will continue to use them in the future.  Regarding setting up meetings in Outlook, I like that you can change a meeting and it will send an update to the original attendees.
