It's Week 6 and after the assignment this week, you have a couple of weeks of discussion board assignment only.  However, this week is a little intense.  You need to find one qualitative study and one quantitative study that are on your PICOT topic.  The assignment then has two parts.  The first is to complete the appraisal form for each of your studies (found under Course Materials, in Worksheets, Forms, and Templates). The second is to write a summary, following the grading rubric.  

The intent of the assignment is to get a taste of how to assess literature for answering your PICOT question.  

You should:

1. Find a qualitative and a quantitative study focused on your PICOT questions

2. Send each as an attachment via the Canvas Inbox to me for review - include your PICOT questions, so I know the topic.  

3. After I approve them, complete the appraisal form

4.  Write the summary - a short summary of each article and then compare and contrast how the qualitative study and the quantitative study address the PICOT topic ( NOT A QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE - THESE QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE STUDIES).

5.  Submit the articles, the appraisal sheet, and the summary to the Assignment link by Sunday at 1159 p.m
