Part 1: Unit Introduction
Complete the Unit Introduction Elements Table by providing a response in the Response column to the prompts from the Unit Introduction Elements column. Ensure you address all questions and information presented.

Part 2: Resources Toolkit
Select 5 books or resources that support your unit and follow these guidelines with your selections:
· Ensure 2 of the books or resources are targeted for teacher use and 3 are targeted for student and parent/caregiver use.
· Ensure at least 3 of your resources are multimedia materials, including web-based resources.
· When selecting your resources, be mindful of the diversity of the students, including varied learning and developmental levels.

Part 3: Lesson Plans
Develop 3 lesson plans for your unit by following the prompts to complete the Lesson Plan 1, 2, and 3 templates. Ensure you complete the following in your lesson plans:
· Incorporate the 5 books or resources from Part 2: Resources Toolkit into your lesson plans.
· At least 1 of your 3 lesson plans must integrate a major subject area (mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, physical education, or health education), including an objective and standard for that subject area.
· At least 1 of your 3 lesson plans must include a pre-reading and post-reading activity.
