The overall purpose of this week’s paper is to Persuade the audience on the topic Strengths and Weaknesses of the Major Modes of International Transportation. This has been my passion and plays a major role in my current field of studies, Transportation and Logistics Management. The main idea is to incorporate the Three different appeals to effectively convince the audience in ways that each are influenced to relate to this project. Each body paragraph will elaborate on the subtopics which will contain, credible viewpoints and or points demonstrating my authority using Ethos. Pathos to best connect with the readers by means of their emotions and empathy. There will also be the deliberate utilization of statistics, reasoning, and evidence to support my point of view on a logical aspect… Logos.
I will attempt to break down each paragraph structure and their subtopics.
Paragraph One: Thesis
Transportation and Logistics Management focuses on the principles, policies, trends, and current issues within air, maritime, or ground transportation and several contemporary issues that encompassing manufacturing, distribution, retailing, recreation, and national security industries internationally.
Paragraph Two:
Examining the transportation systems’ political, regulatory, and legal issues.
The federal government’s regulations and their often-competing goals and contradictory provisions
Paragraph Three:
The importance of sea borne trade to the North American and United States economies.
Paragraph Four:
The vulnerabilities of ports to disruption, asymmetric attack, and defensive measures
to disrupt critical port security incidents such as the Halifax Explosion.
