A project manager's main problem in today's dynamic and competitive world is handling frequent unexpected events. The failure of workers to show up at a job site, the bankruptcy of a significant vendor, a discrepancy in the recommendations provided by two engineering consultants, or changes in customer requirements may occur despite meticulous planning and risk-management procedures.1 These occurrences can be divided into three categories based on the degree of predictability: those that were anticipated but whose effects were far stronger than anticipated; those that could not have been foreseen; and those that could have been predicted but weren't. You will concur that being a project manager is not easy, regardless of how long your career has been in the sector or how much experience you have. By mastering the fundamentals of project management, you can ensure that the project stays within all predetermined project restrictions, including time, project scope, and money.  Despite the availability of numerous resources, project management tools, training materials, and adaptable techniques, businesses continue to lose millions of dollars annually and struggle to address the challenges and issues they encounter with project management.

Managing a project is similar to solving a Rubik's cube since you need to keep track of many different aspects of it while also thinking about potential outcomes and how long it will take to complete. You will undoubtedly experience some roadblocks along the way. Some project challenges, such as those involving scope, budget, communication, and more—are more frequent than others. A solid project management tool can encourage effective communication techniques. However, it will only ever win the Oscar for best supporting actor. You'll need to roll up your sleeves and take on the problem head-on if there is a problem with effective communication in your team. That could involve getting people together to work on a specific issue or fostering a project environment that values constructive criticism as a tool for improvement. Project management difficulties can be highly expensive. When projects aren't finished on time, unanticipated problems can cost you money in budget waste, dissatisfied top performers, and difficult talks with senior management. Visit Monday.com if you're seeking for a solution to do more than just assist you in overcoming these project management difficulties. With none of the frustration, it has all the colors of a Rubik's cube.

or my first article, I found an interesting study on the ethics of stakeholders in modern project management. In the qualitative study by Sarhadi & Hasanzadeh (2022), the authors take an interesting approach to analyzing the behavior of stakeholders in modern-day projects. With a focus on Structuralism and Humanism in particular, the attitude of stakeholders toward one another, as well as their philosophy on responsibility versus the power of their role, creates an interesting dilemma for any stakeholder who partakes in a project. It is not simply a matter of acting in the interests of your own will and motivation, but importance must also be put on the responsibility of recognizing the greater good associated with the project. In the textbook by Schwalbe & Furlong (2017), the focus is more on the definition of the stakeholder and the way in which good project management should take into account addressing the interests, needs, and expertise of the stakeholders of a project depending on their role and level.

Another article by Kortantamer(2023) asks the question, "How do stakeholders contribute to leading a project?" (para. 3). The article takes a comprehensive look at how leadership is distributed in projects not only between the stakeholders but also vertically and horizontally in the organizational chart. Should senior managers play more of a stronger role based on their position and expertise, or should it depend on their stakeholder interests? Four different patterns are described between project portfolio and project actors, which include: top-down influence, transactional exchange, pooled leadership, and co-leadership. I tended toward co-leadership, which described sharing responsibilities between the project director and project manager. I believe by using the skills possessed by both experts that, better distribution of responsibilities results. Schwalbe & Furlong (2017) explain the importance of leadership qualities in project management, including the distribution of roles and responsibilities, but does not go into detail about what style of leadership should be established.
