Feminine by Design-being fulfilled

by Rosana R

John D. Garr [i] brings to the table a tremendous level of insight regarding the interpretation of the original plan created by God versus the reality we have witnessed and experienced for generations. We know that God made both male and female, earth and spirit (similar) intentionally to create a mutual attraction to be united. "The original plan is for this union to be spiritual, emotional, and physical."

Unfortunately, the wrong interpretation of the concept of male and female union is so distorted that marriage became a topic of a joke in TV shows, always portraying a man being emasculated and a nagging, negative, demanding woman. It is hell on earth! In response to the suppression of women's innate human right to self-determination designed by God, we face a major social crisis.

The cultural concept of "opposites attract" is not only considered a myth; it has been replaced with a new "normal": embracing and exploring same-sex marriage. Humanity is desperate to find its original creative design for humanity. I wonder if the church could portray God's intended relationships between men and women, Hollywood could carry the power to model such ungodly ways of living to our children.

As we dive to observe the position of women worldwide, we see, as Sara Groves stated beautifully, that we had sabotaged our freedom. The best example is society is the "me too movement ." It is a movement based on hatred and blaming men instead of reconciliation and common ground. In church, I still consider it a "man's club" where God has no say so in the plans of the organization. I know some leaders are trying to position women rightfully, even those who still don't know how to navigate such a slippery road.

Undoubtedly, a woman more attuned to spiritual things than a man is one of the characteristics of a female operating by design. "We are wonderfully wired for compassion and strength; we can accomplish many things.

If we achieve our highest and best fulfillment, as Beverly Phillips points out [ii], we will change the trajectory of our nations. It will require defining our identity's designer and applying it in all areas of our lives. The fact we are having this argument proves Philipps theory. A "new psychology of women" has already begun to emerge, which has the approval of the Creator of the female human-woman. As part of the change, we must "honor and build natural development by designing the feminine psyche, founded on personal attachment, relationships, interdepended, care, and cooperation."  [iii]

Our traits by design are complementary to male psychology. In this concept, we can understand that "opposites attract."

We are an infinite source of love, inspiration, and power, physically and spiritually.  [iv] I also agree with the influence of women; a man's world can be pretty sterile. Women bring beauty, and it is manifested when defined in their identity. I would say that churches would have a more flavorful taste and level of attraction if women had to freedom to express Christianity through the eyes of beauty. Pastors (husband and wife) can bring a beautiful picture of God's creation when rightfully placed in their calling.

The best example I can give regarding the "divine help" of a woman fashioned by the Creator is in my own family. My parents pastored churches in Brazil for several years. My father was very aware of the fact that his colossal amount of success in his life was due to my mother. She was a woman who carried strength and wisdom. My mom's intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit made her a resource for the current and future issues in the church they were leading. Without my mom's words of wisdom and understanding of situations, before they were even manifested, my father would have never conquered such a successful ministry. I am grateful to witness firsthand the power of women in ministry.

"And blessed [spiritually fortunate and favored by God] is she who believed and confidently trusted that there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her [by the angel sent] from the Lord."  [v]

Feminine By Design

Evaluate the Hebraic idea that women are inherently more attuned to spiritual things than men. Is that part of God's original design for women? Is it part of the "divine help" for which woman was fashioned  by the Creator? Evaluate your own experience of female spirituality.

I truly believe that women are inherently/naturally , more attuned to spiritual things than men. We are created in the very likeness of God that is why he states that we are created in his image.  We as women were created and  bring in the harmony of mankind as we are called into his likeness. Therefore being as equal to men.

My experience of female spirituality growing was my mother and my spiritual God-mother, they stood firm in the faith and was rooted and grounded and knew who they were as women and women in ministry both being pastors. They showed me how learn my who I was or should i say my identity in Christ. I would not be the women I am today if it had not been for them. As look back, I have purposed in my heart to break the boundaries of women in ministry and go further build a legacy of strong Godly, influential, devoted women who are followers of Christ.

I would have to say that I don't agree with Sara Groves quote in  her book as saying, " I also sign heavily over our innate ability to sabotage our own freedom."  Innate means inherent or determined by factors present in a individual from birth. The word sabotage means "destructive or obstructive action carried out by a person to hinder a effort, these to words innate and sabotage as i see it are opposites.
