Risk Management Framework Assessment

PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT

Analyze risk response options and how to align choices with business objectives. Assess risk response standards and frameworks to develop risk response actions that bring risk in line with the defined risk tolerance of the organization as cost-effectively as possible, not to eliminate or minimize the risk at all costs.

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

Students will analyze the cyber vulnerability assessment results from week 4 using  either the NIST RMF or ISACA Risk IT Framework.  For each of the  assets,  the student will make a recommendation to management on how the organization should respond to mitigate the risk (Avoidance, Mitigation, Sharing, and Acceptance).

Please include in your analysis:

1. Justify your decision with a cost benefit analysis summary (both of the response and of the potential cost of not responding).

1. Provide summary details of the response option.

1. Include organizational context, associated mission, risk tolerance and simple case of implementation

Please keep your analysis to no more than 1-2 pages. Please use size 11 font, double spaced.
