Hello Everyone,
1. Why this research was conducted? What is the 0 hypothesis? The research was to find what issues existed and to what extent in regards to information communication technologies and their ability to disrupt knowledge management after analysing the healthcare facility. They hypothesized that the issue of knowledge management stems from the differences in what is needed by the parties communicating, they also theorize that the issue is further compounded by the ICT systems involved.
2. The main idea of the document: The main idea of the document is that due to the lack of uniformity between ICT systems and the troubling lack of standards it causes problems across the board at the MTF they were studying. From the doctors all the way to the patients, everyone has an issue with the ICT systems used.
3. Why the specific data was chosen for collection and processing? Explain: I believe the data chosen was done to show that in several instances ICT systems were at the core of the issue. Out of 103 observations taken a large amount of them had to do with the inefficient use of the systems in place. This information was chosen to further illustrate what the researchers had initially pointed out.
4. Were the conclusions expected and support the null hypothesis? The conclusions to these studies were expected and in line with several other studies performed as stated by the researchers, it can also be said that it was in line with their hypothesis.
5. What challenges the researches had to overcome during the process? They conducted 7 in depth interviews with people who chose to participate in the study and ended up with over 100 pages of transcripts. They also had to find instances to record information to further expand on goals of the research. Doing something like actively monitoring someone in a job setting is taxing but to have to condense over 100 pages into an easily read study is a more complicated task.
6. Were they successful in overcoming those obstacles? Why yes or not? I believe they were successful in overcoming those challenges, they were able to get their required information and display it in a form that anyone reading with a basic understanding of the subject matter could comprehend.

1. Why this research was conducted? What is the 0 hypothesis?
This study used grounded theory to look into hospital knowledge management issues. According to Mustonen-Ollila, Nyerwanire, and Valpas (2014), knowledge management deals with how information and communication technology systems are utilized to assist knowledge generation as well as the gathering, organization, access, and utilization of intellectual capital inside an organization. The research was conducted to explore knowledge management refers explicitly to how information communication technology (ICT) systems are applied to support knowledge creation, as well as in the capturing, organization access, and use of an organization's intellectual capital. Also, it was conducted regarding knowledge management problems in healthcare based on the Grounded Theory to investigate the problems that hinder or impede knowledge.
A null hypothesis is a type of conjecture in statistics that proposes that there is too much data and healthcare professionals are not able to find the required information.
·
2. The main idea of the document
The document's main goal was to thoroughly examine knowledge management issues in a social and healthcare district and its principal hospital in South Karelia, Finland. (Mustonen-Ollila et al., 2014). The study investigated how healthcare organizations acquire knowledge of knowledge management issues, how organizational context shapes these issues, and the effects these issues have on information communication technology (ICT) and patient care (to what extent these issues are shaped by organizational context, and how these potential issues affect both ICT system development work and patient care work in practice Finland). (Mustonen-Ollila et al., 2014). The main idea of the document is to discuss knowledge management and communication, comprehension issues, health care, and ICT professionals and figure out what those problems. The case study is described how information communication technology systems are applied to support knowledge creation.
·
3. Why these specific data was chosen for collection and processing? Explain.
The researchers intended to understand the opinions and experiences of healthcare professionals regarding knowledge management in the workplace; they decided to gather and process data using interviews and observations. They sought to collect rich, detailed data to study the complexity and nuances of the healthcare context and how knowledge is managed and disseminated within this setting. The researchers used grounded theory to provide a theoretical explanation of the knowledge management difficulties in healthcare that would be based on the facts and reflective of the experiences and viewpoints of those working in the area. Their ultimate objective was to improve knowledge management in healthcare settings to establish solutions and best practices. The case studies chose to observe interviews with a variety of participants. There is a sampling of all the data collected from interviewees. Next, you identify what category to place the data in and analyze the information to compare the outcome. The study used both a qualitative and quantitative research process. Quantitative research seeks to understand the causal or correlational relationship between variables through testing hypotheses. In contrast, qualitative research seeks to understand a phenomenon within a real-world context through interviews and observation.
·
4. Were the conclusions expected and support the null hypothesis?
Yes. The data concluded that there were 103 different empirical observations under 23 categories which support the finding of categories grounded on data and based on the researchers’ intuition and knowledge by using the ground theory method.
·
5. What challenges the researches had to overcome during the process?
One problem was the communication and understanding problems between ICT professionals and healthcare professionals. A concern with the main categories was whether the data would have enough proof. Another problem encountered was ICT system architecture, which “lacked the three layers of business, application, and technology” (Mustonen-Ollila et al., 2014).
·
6. Were they successful in overcoming those obstacles? Why yes or not?
Yes, they were able to develop a framework for medical and clinical decisions influenced by patient data in the ICT systems, physicians’ tacit knowledge and experience, and technological skills to use ICT systems. The patient data in the ICT systems are affected by the patient, and communication barriers can prevent proper patient healthcare, which is also affected by nurses' lack of time.

REPLY AND INSERT THE REFRENCE BELOW EACH RESPONSE Freedom of expression and intellectual property rights are two essential concepts that can occasionally clash in the context of creative expression and innovation. While freedom of expression safeguards an individual's right to express themselves without censorship or constraints, intellectual property rights protect the economic interests of creators and innovators by giving them exclusive rights over their works, such as books, music, inventions, and software (Dawson, 2004).
For instance, if an individual decides to exercise their freedom of expression by posting a defamatory comment about someone on social media, they are potentially infringing upon the other person's right to privacy and safety. Similarly, if an individual decides to share someone else's personal information, such as their home address or phone number, without their consent, they are engaging in doxxing, which can have serious consequences for the victim's safety and privacy.
However, for individuals who use social media or other online platforms to express themselves, there is a risk that their freedom of expression could potentially infringe upon their privacy. For example, if someone shares personal information, such as their home address or phone number, while expressing themselves online, they may unintentionally put themselves at risk of harassment or stalking. Similarly, if someone shares intimate images or videos of themselves, they may be putting their privacy at risk if those images or videos are shared without their consent.
Revenge porn is another form of online harassment that can have devastating consequences for the victim's personal and professional life. By sharing intimate images or videos of someone without their consent, the perpetrator is violating their privacy and potentially infringing upon their intellectual property rights, as they may own the copyright to those images or videos.
It is important to find ways to balance the protection of intellectual property rights with the freedom of expression in the digital age. One way to achieve this is through education and awareness-raising about the importance of respecting intellectual property rights and the potential consequences of copyright infringement. Additionally, the development of new technologies and legal frameworks that can protect both intellectual property and freedom of expression is crucial to addressing this issue. Ultimately, by recognizing the value of both concepts, we can create a digital environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and respectful communication. Additionally, it is crucial to recognize the potential consequences of our words and actions, especially when it comes to sensitive or personal information about others. By fostering a culture of respect and accountability online, we can promote a safe and inclusive digital environment that upholds both freedom of expression and intellectual property rights (Dawson, 2004).
