After completing the assigned readings (Chapter 4: Creativity, Innovation, and Invention ) answer the following discussion questions.

· As you begin the creative journey, the first stage involves prep work and idea generation. When you have finished actively thinking about your idea, the second stage is where you let it go. Sometimes called the insight stage, illumination is when the “aha” moment happens. During this stage, you consider the validity of your idea and weigh it against alternatives. This is the final stage of the creative process. It’s when the hard work happens.

· You will notice the processes, policies, and products that are working quite well. Not a problem in sight. But that doesn’t mean there is no need for innovation. “All innovation comes from solving problems,” breaks down.

·  I started putting for the effort to start my business but I fail short due to my dedication and the excuses that I began creating within myself. My only obstacles in life is me and I realized that along time ago. I'm going to continue with ideas and stay faithful because in reality nothing happens over night

1.List and discuss the five stages of creativity.

1.preparation is the idea that you are immersing yourself in the domain.

2.incubation is when all the information that you have gathered in the preparation stage really goes back.

3.insight is what most of the public think is a classic signal or sign of a creative person, what is called the insight step.

4.evaluation is where you evaluate your product by putting it to the test.

5.elaboration is the phase where you’re actively creating something and bringing your idea to life.

2. Why does the model for innovation stress that it does not end with problem solving?                                          This stage does not end with problem solving because it's a stage for creativity. Organizations can plan to innovate by applying either lateral or linear thinking methods, or both. But not all innovation is purely creative. If a firm wishes to innovate a current product, what will likely matter more to that firm is the success of the innovation rather than the level of creativity involved.

3. Think of a product you or someone you know adopted early only to watch it fall into the diffusion chasm between early adopters and early majority adopters? What was that product, and why do you think it failed to make it across that gap?

The one product for me is when I was selling my logo t-shirts starting off. It didn’t make it across the gap at first because no one could relate to my brand. I had to connect my brand to my story to get people to start buying into my brand.
