Literature review in abstinence education
My research question is ways on how teenagers can be able to abstain through sex education in school. In the development of these research questions, I think what should come first is to look at the impact of early pregnancy among teenagers in school. To determine the role of sex education has played in minimizing this issue of early pregnancy and to identify various ways in which teenagers can be taught to be able to abstain through parental guidance. The process which I think is more realistic is the use of a comprehensive approach that is through sex education unit in school. This is important because children will be taught different ways to abstain. Also, the teachers will be able to employ some professionals who will be able to talk to the children about the importance of abstinence such as avoidance of early pregnancy. (Alhassan, 2020) Abstinence also can improve the children academic performance because it will be easier for the children to concentrate on their studies, abstinence also will guarantee better health to the teenagers because they will probably have fewer physical and emotional concerns, and finally, it will help the teenagers on certainty, this is in the situation where the teenagers date while they are in school, teaching them about the importance of abstinence, their relationships may last without sex, and through this, they would have a good chance for their relationship to be strong and last longer.
The potential consequences of deciding on the research question without conducting a literature review are; one will be not able to give an up-to-date thoughtful of the subject. Giving up-to-date perceptive of the subject allows your readers to be informed well. Also, another consequence that one will face without conducting a literature review, he/she will not be able to structure his/her literature review, this is because, a literature review is important and structure, guide the development of the research questions and present the kind of research methodologies that were used in the predecessor studies.
