Maryland Hospital Leadership structure

An organizational leadership structure is an essential facility that enables success in hospital settings. The following people are essential in the hospital and their effort helps in achieving the success of the hospital in one way on the other. The organizational chart can change as we move on with our study and making the project realize so the one indicated below is more of potential compared to a hardcopy.

· President – responsibility is to ensure the best quality of patient care in its facility. Also showing by example the leadership role, creating a positive and productive environment while overseeing that everything is working efficiently.

· Chief Executive Officer – is acting as the main point of communication between board of directors and corporate, managing the overall operations of the hospital.

· Chief Information Officer – handles all the hospital technology strategies and computer systems that will incorporate the hospital goals.

· Chief Human Resources Officer – executing human resource strategy in support and overall business plans, specifically in talent and change management.

· Director of Administration – is responsible of the business aspect of the organizational and collaborate with all the management staff to make sure that everyone delivers the require administrative support.

· Registration Manager – is the person which manages the dual admissions process and analyzes a variety of complex data and information.

· Laboratory Manager – brings their managerial skills on safety and lab procedures to ensure everything in the laboratories are running smoothly.

· Facilities Manager – are to look after all the services that helps the business and other organization do its work.

· Chief Operations Officer – COO works with the CFO and the CEO at any giving time to ensure that the hospital has all the necessary medical and administrative staff to meet patients demands and budget constraints.

· Chief Nursing Officer – gives their insight to senior management on the best nursing practices, while helping create some programs that will represent nurses at board meetings.

· Director of Nursing – is responsible for leading and supervising a nursing unit by implementing new policies and procedures when necessary.

· Pediatrics – is someone that conducts a thorough examinations on newborns and young children.

· Obstetrics – is a physician that provides medical care that is related to pregnancy or childbirth

· Cardiology – assists patients that have problems with their heart and cardiovascular conditions.

· Oncology – main duty is to oversee the care to cancer patients by administering medication and providing information and support.

· Neurology – is a physician that specializes in illness and dysfunction of the nervous system.

· General Health – is a medical doctor that provides nonsurgical medical care on a wide range of health issues.

· Chief Medical Officer – manages medical staff on the day to day operations and ensuring patients receives high quality care.

· Orthopedics – is a medical specialist that focuses on the care of the musculoskeletal system.

· Chief Financial Officer – primary responsibilities are to manage the hospital finances.

· Senior Vice President – helps to achieve financial goals and objectives and increase operating performance.

· Chief Legal Officer – is an expert and leader who helps the hospital minimizes legal risks on any major legal and regulatory issues.
