Assignments (read each assignment thoroughly to be sure you cover everything in your papers):

Reflection Papers (check course outline for each paper’s focus)

There will be 5 short weekly reflection papers due throughout the term. Based on last week’s intern goal paper and reflection paper1,2,3, I am requesting you to write the 4th and 5th reflection paper. The 2 paper are both expected to be at least 1 single spaced page (all margins 1 inch or less). You are to reflect on your internship as a hotel housekeeping supervisor and what you are learning, experiencing, witnessing, etc. The emphasis should be on your development of a positive service oriented attitude, problem solving, and decision-making skills. These reflections can come from experiences/observations with guests, co-workers, or management. Think about your development as a future hospitality professional and how that is enhanced by these interactions. These papers should also highlight the areas you are experiencing – e.g.: housekeeping supervisor, also in the paper, please give examples on scenario that happen during the job and how you solve it. No citation is needed.

Typos, incorrect words, sloppy grammar reflect poorly on you and will be reflected in your grade for the paper – so proofread out loud. These papers should be worthy of giving to your supervisor. Be specific if relating an experience and be sure the reader fully understands the experience and how it impacted you.
