Questions from Chapters 5-6

Please answer each of the following questions from your readings in your original post by Thursday of each week.  Make sure that you provide a reference for the text in the discussion board.  Reply to at minimum 2 of your classmates posts for full credit. Responses to your classmates are due by Sunday of each week.    

· How do community leaders get people from “You can’t beat city hall” to “We can change things?” Are governmental organizations more actively involved in social responsibility today than they were in the past? How? Why?

· Identify and rank order at least three challenges in citizen participation of social and community change?

· In what specific ways might participatory action research increase the effectiveness of organizational change initiatives?  How might you apply some of these principles to change in your own organization?

· Identify and discuss concepts of political change. Use these concepts to analyze how political change concepts have or can influence your workplace or organization.
