We have made it to the beginning of Week 4! I hope this course content has been practical and has inspired you to be motivated to better maneuver conflicts.
At some point or another, you have almost certainly sat in a meeting or class where the speaker or teacher says, "Today, we are working in a group." The moans and groans of the people in the room can typically be heard worldwide. As a facilitator, or in other educational roles, it is important for you to understand the stages of group work so that you can preempt patterns of conflict and promote more positive approaches.
This week, reflect upon your own skills and identify where you can be strengthened. While working through this module, focus on your ability to:
Classify the types of groups when facilitating conflict resolution.
Understand the manner in which a facilitator responds to conflict.
Recognize challenges in group communication.

This week requires commitment each day. You will now begin the research for your project due at the end of the term. Additionally, your midterm exam requires thoughtful analysis and reflection. Please begin early in the week!

Overview
At some point or another, you we have almost certainly sat in a meeting where the speaker stands up and says, "Today, we are working in a group." The moans and groans of the people in the room can be heard worldwide. Sometimes you may think that it is just easier to do it on your own, or perhaps you don't know anyone else in the room and the thought of working in a group is overwhelming. As a facilitator, it is important for you to understand the stages of group work so that you can preempt destructive patterns of conflict and promote more positive approaches.
