DECISION MAKING

Decision making, a core focus of cognitive psychology, explores how people evaluate options and make choices—often under uncertainty. While individuals like to believe their judgments are rational, research shows they are frequently shaped by systematic biases. These cognitive shortcuts, or heuristics, can lead to predictable errors in thinking. Understanding these systematic biases is essential for recognizing their impact on our choices and developing strategies for more accurate, objective decision-making.
