Part A:
Using the following information, re-write stories in news writing format = Inverted pyramid. This means you need two to three paragraphs containing at least two sentences.

Police are investigating the cause of a suspicious fire that broke out Thursday night at a downtown Delta strip mall.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire.
Delta fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.
The fire was in the 4800-block of Spratt Street.
Spratt Street is located between 48th Avenue and Bridge Street.
The Delta Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop was the business that suffered the most fire and water damage.
Other nearby units experienced some smoke damage.
This is the third suspicious fire in Delta this year.
The fire is believed to have started in a garbage dumpster at the rear of the building.
Cris Leykauf, the public affairs manager for the Delta Police Department said no one was reported injured.

What happened? Identify the most important info to include.
When did it happened? Balance it with both sides of the story.
Where did it happened? Use quotes: “XCXCXCXCX,” said Karen.

Why did it happen? Proper spelling.
How did it happen? Attribution after sentences one.
How to format stories (single spaced within paragraphs. double space between paragraphs)

Some contend that American reporters have always trumpeted the US government's stance during wartime, and that their championing of the US military in Iraq simply upheld the tradition (Von Hoffman, 2005, p. 39).
