I took the Truity career personality (2020). This assessment has six interest areas, building, thinking, creating, helping, persuading, and organizing. My score was highest in humanitarian followed by caretaker. I currently am working in substance abuse so humanitarian, and caretaker fit nicely for work values for me. 

For the personal interest assessment, I took the Jung assessment through 123test (2021). Introvert-intuitive-feeler-judger (INFJ). Fit me to a tee. Reserved, private, can be alone and not mind it, imaginative but original. My emotions play a large role, and I like to be organized. 

What I learned is that these types of assessments are accurate. The career path that I have chosen is the correct path for me to follow. While my emotions allow me to connect with my clients personally, they also help me remain in check and not disclose information about myself that may have a negative effect on the clients. I did like the nickname that the Jung assessment from 123test (2021) quoted “Protector” which fits my personality perfectly.

I utilized the Work values matcher and the 16 Personalities assessments to complete the discussion as directed. First, I would like to say that both websites were easy to navigate. According to the 16 personalities assessment, I was determined to be an advocate, and I hope to leave my mark on the world. I hold a deep sense of idealism and integrity (especially with people in the helping professions) and passionately share this with others. In addition to the personality assessment, I completed the Work values matcher. This assessment indicated that I hold Recognition, Relationships, and working condition equally. My next score was in Achievement. This info shows my motivation to advance and lead in my career, like to assist my colleagues. The personality test also indicated my concern to work in an ethical environment and one that respects everyone's worldview equally. I believe my values make me an excellent candidate to be an effective counselor who strives to assist others and find a great sense of accomplishment the more individuals I can provide services.
