I work as a Business System Analyst consultant for our firm's several Fortune 500 clients across the United States. In my current position, I work as a Business System Analyst for CVS Health in New York City. Apart from my CPT class, I am now enrolled in MSCS 604 Software Engineering Concepts, which is taught by Dr. Scot Trodick. While taking this class, I was able to tie my professional job to many concepts such as software models and Software Engineering Requirements. As a Business System Analyst, for example, my primary responsibility is to understand the business's functional, non-functional, and system requirements, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in order to build a technological solution around the business that will aid business operations in the most efficient manner possible. A Business System Analyst acts as a link between the Business Team and the IT Development Team, according to (Study.com, 2020). Gathering, detailing, documenting, and validating various sorts of functional, non-functional, and system requirements is one of his primary roles. To do this, I set up one-on-one meetings with my clients, JAD (Joint Application Development) sessions, JRP (Joint Requirements Planning) sessions, and requirements collection sessions, among other strategies. As a Business System Analyst, I create several papers such as BRDs (Business Requirements Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirements Documents), SRDs (System Requirements Documents), Use cases, Prototypes, and RTMs (Requirements Testing Methodologies) (Requirements Traceability Matrix). To complete these types of tasks, I have to do lots of Analysis and out of the box critical thinking to analyze and prepare documentation based upon Business requirements and System Requirements.
